Police nab 21-year-old UNILAG student over Super TV CEO’s murder

The Lagos State Police Command says it has arrested 21-year-old University of Lagos undergraduate, Chidinma for allegedly killing the Chief Executive Officer, Super TV, Usifo Ataga, in the Lekki area of the state last week.

The state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, during the parade of the suspect on Thursday at the command headquarters at Ikeja, said she had confessed to committing the crime.

He added that the owner of the rented apartment where the tragic incident took place had been arrested.

Odumosu explained that Ataga’s account had been blocked to prevent further withdrawals from it by those taking advantage of his untimely death to deplete the account.

Chidinma, a Mass Communication undergraduate was reported to have been arrested at her residence in Yaba area of Lagos.

Late Ataga’s sudden disappearance had given friends, relations and close associates sleepless nights, until a clue was traced to the rented apartment at Lekki.
