Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has signed the Ogun State 2021 Appropriation bill of  N338.6bn into law.

He signed the bill into law on Wednesday.

Recall that the state House of Assembly had on Tuesday passed the bill for the governor’s assent after its final and third reading.

The budget christened Budget of Recovery and Sustainability, formerly totalled N339bn, but the lawmakers made some slight adjustments in the recurrent and capital expenditure.

Governor Abiodun said the early signing of the appropriation bill into law would ensure a speedy return to economic sustainability in the state, following the coronavirus pandemic.

He wrote via his verified twitter handle, “I have just signed into law, the 338.6 billion Naira Ogun State Appropriation Bill, tagged ‘Budget of Recovery and Sustainability’ for the year 2021.

‘This early progress avails us time to implement the Budget from January, for a speedy return to economic sustainability following the pandemic.

“With the rigorous yet time-conscious passage of the bill, I must appreciate the Ogun State House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Rt. (Hon.) Olakunle Oluomo, for the sustained support that the Executive arm enjoys from the House.
