Ogun APC ‘ll not implode, says Governor Dapo Abiodun

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun says the All Progressives Congress in the state will not implode, as the detractors of the party expected.

He said this in his opening speech at the APC Southwest Constitution Review holding currently at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.

The governor who was welcoming party chieftains, stakeholders and delegates from the six Southwest states, said the party in the state would manage the different power blocs within the party.

Recall that a former governor of the state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel defected to the APC in the state sometime last month.

Currently, the party has three former governors of the state in its fold in the state. The two other ex-governors are Chief Segun Osoba and Senator Ibikunle Amosun.

He said, “The enemies are saying the party will implode. Our party will not implode, we know how to manage ourselves.”

Talking about the review of the constitution of the party, governor Abiodun noted that the party had gone through many phases and thus the constitution was due for a review.

He said he was optimistic that the party would be stronger after the constitution review and would record more feats in 2023.
