Incumbent governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his wife, Ibijoke have cast their votes on the island, Lagos.
After casting his ballot, Sanwo-Olu in a brief address, said the turnout at his polling unit was quite encouraging.
He, however warned that stakeholders should shun violence.
He said, “We are happy at the level of the turnout
“I think it is a time for us as a people, this process is not to be a process of violence.”
The Labour Party governorship candidate Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour has also cast his ballot.
NOTM gathered that voting is underway in Ebonyi,Abia, Adamawa, Kebbi among others.
