News reaching NOTM online indicated that Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti has just been released on bail from detention at the State CID, Panti, Yaba o Tuesday.
The release came ahead of his next hearing on Wednesday. His lawyer, Adeyinka l Olumide- Fusika SAN revealed this.
“Yes, Ṣeun Kuti has just been released minutes ago,” he confirmed.
The embattled musician has had it rough with the police since his arrest .
A search has been conducted on his residence at Ikeja in Lagos, while his wife’s phone was seized.
During his first appearance in court, the prosecutors got an extension of four days to hold him further in continuation of their investigations.
Human rights activists stormed the magistrate court Yaba earlier today demanding Seun Kuti’s release.
