Afrobeats artiste Young Busy has released a new single titled ‘Champagne,’marking a significant milestone in his musical journey and serving as a lead-up to his forthcoming EP, Senior Elder, expected in 2026.
Born Okhuelegbe Oseyi Sylvester, Young Busy began his music career at an early age, developing his talent through village drama and music groups from the age of 12.
His early exposure to performance helped shape his artistic foundation and passion for music.
Following the completion of his secondary education in 2007, Young Busy secured a performance engagement with Ajinomoto, which subsequently introduced him to Phytown Music Production.
There, he recorded his first four tracks in collaboration with artistes including HH Gang, Benu-C, Ballzee and Custanzo.
Alongside his music career, Young Busy pursued higher education, earning a degree in Business Administration from the University of Benin.
In 2011, he relocated to the United Kingdom, where he studied Musical Theatre and performed at the Martin Harris Centre in Manchester during the Music of the Night show.
His professional recording career gained international footing in 2016 after moving to Italy, where he released “Where Are You” featuring Tawa Da Gold.
He achieved wider recognition in 2018 with the release of the OYOYO EP, driven by the title track “OYOYO,” produced by EZKMix, which gained traction across Italy and other parts of Europe.
Young Busy followed up with the COMFORT EP in 2020 and the ALL4YOU album in 2022. In 2024, he released the single “Trouble,” featuring Chaplet, further expanding his catalogue and audience.
The newly released ‘Champagne’ reflects themes of perseverance, growth and personal achievement, reinforcing the artiste’s evolving sound and international outlook. The single signals a new phase in Young Busy’s career as he continues to build momentum ahead of his next major project.
From his early beginnings in local music groups to performances on European stages, Young Busy’s career reflects a steady rise within the Afrobeats scene, with “Champagne” marking his latest contribution to the genre.
