TRACE releases traffic advisory as Lotus Bank stages 10km race

Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency TRACE has issued traffic advisory on the 4th edition of the Lotus Bank Abeokuta 10km Race scheduled to hold on Saturday, 28th September, 2024, in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.

The agency has mapped out rerouting to accommodate the race and put motorists and residents on notice from 0600hrs – O900hrs on that day.

A statement signed on behalf of the agency by its Public Relations Officer,Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi,the designated routes in question will be diverted from the outbound section to the inbound section from Iyana/Oloke-Ibara-Sapon-Ake-Itoko-Saje-Adatan-Isale/Ake and back to Ake Palace.

He said members of the public who have no business along the aforementioned routes on the said date, should avoid the axis.

“Nevertheless, TRACE as well as other security operatives will be deployed along the routes in question to ensure effective and integrated traffic management, in order to limit delay and traffic congestion,”he added.

“While pleading with members of the public and road users for their understanding and cooperation for any inconveniences this might cause, TRACE assures the strategy put in place would minimize delay and guarantee orderliness.”
