The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State has felicitated the senator representing Ogun Central senatorial district in the National Assembly, Shuiab Afolabi Salisu as he clocks 60 years.
A statement issued by the council signed by both the Chairman, Wale Olanrewaju and the Secretary, Bunmi Adigun acknowledged his contribution to the state and Nigeria as a whole.
The statement read partly, “As Senator Salisu marks this significant milestone, we acknowledge his immense contributions to the development of Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
“His leadership as Chairman of the Senate Committee on ICT and Cybersecurity, as well as Vice-Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Publicity, has been exemplary.
“We commend Senator Salisu for being a silent achiever, dedicating himself to the service of the people at the grassroots. His commitment to the National Assembly is evident in his unwavering dedication to the welfare of his constituents.
“The NUJ Ogun State Council is particularly grateful for Senator Salisu’s support for the journalism profession. His visits to our Council and interactions with journalists in Ogun State demonstrate his commitment to the growth and development of the media.
“We wish Senator Salisu many more years of service to the nation, and we pray that his legacy continues to inspire future generations.”
