News reaching NOTM online indicated that US President, Joe Biden has finally withdraw as Democratic Party’s candidate in the forthcoming elections.

This followed a call for him to reconsider his earlier position to be in the race due to party members losing faith in his mental stability during a recent debate with ex-president Donald Trump on June 27, 2024.

During the debate, Biden struggled with coherence, while Trump put up a brilliant performance.

He said on Sunday, “It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President. And while it has been my intention to seek re-election, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”

Biden’s term will end on January 20, 2025.

However, Biden has endorsed his Vice, Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party’s nominee, saying, “Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats – it’s time to come together and beat Trump.”

US elections come up in November.
