The political crisis in Rivers State has taken a different dimension as no fewer than 10 Bulldozers were driven into the premises of the state House of Assembly and the demolition of the complex began on Wednesday.

However, the factional Speaker, Edison Ehie, led other lawmakers loyal to the governor to hold a sitting early in the morning before the demolition began.

NOTM gathered that the exercise is being done under tight security.

Recall that 27 lawmakers defected from the People’s Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress on Monday, leaving only four lawmakers loyal to state governor, Sim Fubara.

All these are playing out due to the faceoff and powerplay between the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike and Fubara.

President Bola Tinubu had tried to wade into the crisis but it seems his intervention did not yield any positive result.
