News reaching NOTM online indicated that the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress has suspended the planned indefinite nationwide strike.
The labour unions announced the suspension of the planned strike which was scheduled to start on Tuesday October 3 after a meeting with the representatives of the federal government at the State House on Monday.
Recall that the Federal Government had approved N35,000 salary increase for all its workers for six months.
It also removed VAT on diesel among other palliative incentives lined up.
