Mohbad: Youths storm roads in Ota, seek justice for departed singer

Scores of youths stormed the streets in Sango-Ota area of Ogun State on Wednesday in a peaceful protest to call for justice over the death of a promising singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba popularly known as Mohbad.

As early as 9am, the youths gathered around the Tollgate along the busy Lagos-Abeokuta Road in Ota armed with placards with different inscriptions and they marched through the Ilo Awela -Oju Ore- Sango-Ota Idiroko Road, calling for justice for the singer who died on Monday.

Majority of them were clad black T-shirts and Jean pants with some of them holding banners with the picture of their departed singer.

Vehicular and human traffic were affected however security men accompanied them in a patrol van to ensure the peaceful protest was not hijacked by hoodlums.

Some of the protesters were seen packed themselves in cars, tricycles and mounted motorcycles during the protest.

Recall that such peaceful protests had been held for Mohbad in Lagos, Benin, Warri, Ado Ekiti, Abeokuta among others to call on the authorities to ensure that those who were connected with Mohbad’s death are brought to book.
