Senator Godswill Akpabio, an All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker from Akwa Ibom North West has emerged as the Senate President of the 10th Senate
His rival was Senator Abdulaziz Yari from Zamfara North West, who is also of the APC
They are the two contenders for the office of the number three citizen.
Akpabio polled 63 votes against Yari’s 46.
Senator Ali Ndume from Borno South, nominated Akpabio whileSenator Elisha Abbo from Adamawa North nominated Yari.
