As the All Progressives Congress Presidential campaign is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 25th January, 2023, at MKO Abiola Stadium International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, traffic diversions around the venue have been released.

The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency has announced traffic rerouting inbound and outbound the stadium axis by 0700hrs with the NNPC fly over condoned off for road users and traffic diverted underpass.

A statement signed by the TRACE Public Relations Officer, Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi on behalf of the boss, Cdr ‘Seni Ogunyemi added that alternative routes and parking spaces have been mapped out and supervised by security and safety officials in the details below:

* There will be traffic diversion at NNPC to the right towards Abiola-Way -Leme – Iyana/Mortuary for vehicles coming inbound Abeokuta from Sagamu/Interchange – Laderin – Okemosan axis.

* In the same vein, all buses coming from outside Abeokuta through the Sagamu/Interchange for the campaign rally, will also be diverted at the NNPC to the right towards Abiola-Way – Leme Junction and there make a U-turn to the left inbound NNPC back before making a right turn to the stadium through the road/gate opposite Providence Hotel.

* There will be no access road for vehicles coming from Iyana/Mortuary towards NNPC, except those scheduled for the campaign rally and they will gain access to the stadium through the road/gate opposite Providence Hotel.

Nevertheless, TRACE as well as other security and safety agencies will be properly positioned to reduce and avoid gridlock on all routes to and from the stadium, as well as strategically positioned to man all parking spaces around the stadium premises.

While pleading with members of the public and road users for their understanding and cooperation for any inconveniences this might cause, they are assured that the strategy put in place would minimize delay, ensure effective integrated traffic management along the routes and prevent any untoward situation.
