Deputy Controller of Corrections, James Ogunmoyede has assumed office as the officer in charge of the Old Abeokuta Custodial Centre, Ibara Abeokuta, Ogun State Command.
This was contained in a statement made available to NOTM by the state command’s Public Relations Officer, CSC Victor Oyeleke.
The development follows the retirement of DCC Bamidele Oshin the former officer in charge who completed the mandatory thirty five (35)years of service to the nation on Wednesday 11th January 2023.
Ogunmoyede who until his recent appointment was the head of welfare section of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Ogun State Command is an experienced correctional officer who joined the service more than two decades ago.
He has served in various custodial centres as a welfare officer. He is a University graduate who is equipped with vast experience gained in the discharge of duties.
He has attended several courses which put him in good position to make a difference in the correctional facility.
Ogunmoyede, a disciplined and a firm officer, is also vast in the administration of criminal justice.
He is a team player and seeks support from all and sundry, as he discharges his duties.
He is married with lovely kids.
