Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has approved the payment of December 2022 salaries and pensions, promising to make workers welfare a priority.
A statement released on Wednesday by his spokesman, Olawale Rasheed, indicated that the payment covers all ministries, departments and agencies.
Others to benefit are secondary and primary school teachers, tertiary institutions, local government workers and retirees.
He however explained that the audit of the state’s finances continues, adding that workers would continue to get attention.
Adeleke said: “I have as a priority number one the welfare of workers especially our civil and public servants.
“Our workers should be rest assured that all issues affecting their welfare will continue to receive urgent attention of state.
“That is the first item on my administration’s five point agenda.”
