Lagos State House of Assembly has expressed deep sadness over the death of one of his members, Hon. Abdul-Sobur Olawale in Jos, Plateau State.
Until his death on Tuesday, he represented Mushin Constituency II, and the was the Chairman, House Committee on Local Government and Community Relations.
According to a statement signed by the Chairman, Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Information, Strategy and Security,Hon. Setonji David, Olawale was a second term lawmaker.
“This death really hit us below the belt. We will all miss him more than words can express. We urge you to join us in prayers for his family at this time,” the statement read in part.
NOTM gathered that the late politician popularly known as Omititi, was among the politicians, who stormed Jos for the official flag-off of the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign.
Olawale was said to be returning from the event when he suddenly slumped and died.
Last Friday, during a novelty football match to celebrate the 50th birthday of the speaker of the House, Mudashiru Obasa, the late lawmaker played in the match as the goalkeeper.
Omititi is survived by a wife and three children.
