News reaching this medium indicated that the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Federal Otokito, who was kidnapped on Thursday by gunmen has been released.
His release was disclosed by an aide to the Bayelsa State Government, Patrick Ipidei
Recall that Otokito was kidnapped by gunmen who stormed his residence about 11pm on Thursday and whisked him away through the waterways.
Taking to his Facebook account on Monday, Ipidei wrote:
“Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Federal Otokito, regains Freedom from Kindnapers den.”
However details surrounding his release were still sketchy as at the time of filing this report.
