As the nation marks one year of the #Endsars protests, during which some protesters were reportedly killed at the Lekki tollgate, some protesters defied the Lagos Commissioner of Police order that he would not allow any form of protests today.
Some of these protesters as they had earlier said were seen passing in their cars, SUVs, jeeps and buses, holding small flags of Nigeria and shouting ‘#Endsars, #Endsars,… we want justice…
Despite the contingent of policemen stationed at the tollgate, they did not stop the ‘drive past
protesters.’
Popular face seen inside one of the Coaster buses was the son of human rights lawyer, Femi Falana popularly known as Falz.
However, unconfirmed report stated that two persons had been arrested at the tollgate earlier this morning and were hurriedly taken away in a standby Black Maria by policemen.
Also in Abuja, protesters have besieged the Unity Fountain, and some of the faces there include human rights activists Deji Adeyanju,and Omoyele Sowore among others.
