The men of the OP-MESA made up of military men and scores of policemen from formations across Lagos State have early this Saturday morning cordoned off the purported venue of the proposed Yoruba Nation Rally, Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park at Ojota.
They are currently manning strategic points in and around the venue to prevent any form of gathering.
Motorists and residents are moving without any form of inhibitions for now.
Recall that the agitators of the Yoruba Nation had vowed to go ahead with the rally, even with the warning from the Lagos State Police Command helmsman Hakeem Odumosu.
Also, the night raid on the Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Igboho’s residence at Soka Ibadan by the operatives of the Directorate of State Services on Thursday July 1 had continued to generate mixed reactions.
More details on the proposed rally later…
