The Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja on Thursday granted Yoruba actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly called Baba Ijesha, bail.
The actor who dressed in hooded jacket was arraigned before the Special Offences Court in Lagos on charges of sexual assault, indecent treatment of a child, and sexual assault by penetration.
This medium gathered that the judge, Mrs Oluwatoyin Taiwo, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N2 million.
She said “bail is a constitutional right and not a discretionary right.”
Recall that the case of the popular actor had generated mixed reactions in the Nollywood and the society in general.
However, the bail is respite for the troubled actor, who will now be coming from home to attend his trial.
