Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo clocks 61 years today and as he also reflects on his two years in office, he says he has made the Gateway State better than he met in 2019, through his people-oriented policies.

In a birthday message gleaned from his Facebook wall by our correspondent, the governor expressed his gratitude to God on his birthday and marking the achievements of his administration in the last two years.

He said the administration had made significant progress in the development of infrastructure, social wellbeing, education, youth, and agriculture among others.

He noted that in the last one year he had a great cause to be thankful to God and the good people of the state for their love, and support.

Governor Abiodun also appreciated his wife, Bamidele, for many roles she played in making his administration succeed.

The message read partly: “My family and I are thankful to Almighty God for the special grace to be celebrating my 61st birthday today, especially as the day doubles as one for a reflection on the achievements of the #BuildingOurFutureTogether Administration in Ogun State within the last 730 days.

“In the last one year, I have had countless causes for gratitude to God and people, for life and grace, love and support.

“I have dedicated the past two years of my life to bringing results to the table, and I am happy how far we have come.

“On May 29, 2019, I made a promise to you, Ogun State People, to secure you a better future through people-centred projects, policies and programmes.

“Today, the Gateway State is at a better place than it was that year. We have made significant progress in the development of infrastructure, social wellbeing, education, youth, and agriculture.

“I specially appreciate my lovely wife, Bamidele, for the many roles she plays in what the world sees us to be.”

The governor promised that the state would be miles ahead of where it is today in 2022.

It read further, “In 2022, Ogun State will be miles ahead of where we are today, as more projects have been outlined while we execute existing ones.

“Thank you, Ogun State People.”
