Young political titans across the Southwest and Kogi State under the aegis of Afenifere for Collective Transformation have rallied support for the presidential ambition of the youthful Kogi governor, Yaya Bello ahead of 2023.
They stormed Lagos recently and held an extra-ordinary pre-benefit conference and mapped out mobilisation strategies for the actualisation of this cause.

He used the occasion of the pre-benefit conference with the theme: ‘Nigerian Youths and the Politics of 21st Century’, to thank both past and present leaders in the country for their roles in building a Nigeria of their dream.
He added that “it is time to allow our generational leader, Governor Yahaya Bello to build a Nigeria of our dream.”
He said,, “I’m standing here today on behalf of the youths and the young generation of this country to thank and appreciate our past and present leaders for their efforts in building a Nigeria of their dream.
“I’m as well using this same opportunity to implore them to give us the same opportunity to build a Nigeria of our dream too. We have been living their dreams for decades and now is the time for us to live our dream through our own generational leader, Governor Yahaya Bello.”
The conference was an explosive one that cut across gender, age groups and categories including people with disabilities.
The Woman Leader of the movement, Madam Doris Parakoyi charged Nigerian women to utilise the opportunity of their population to bring about the desired choice of Governor Yahaya Bello Presidency in 2023.
She stated that women have always been having higher percentage of voter registration and voting during elections and promised to do all within her capacity to mobilise all women structures, groups and organisations within her reach across the Southwest for the actualisation on Yahaya Bello Presidency.
“The population of women in government under Governor Yahaya Bello and the numerous women economic empowerment programmes going on in the state were enough for Nigerian women to queue behind him,” she added.
She prayed it doesn’t get to a point where Nigerian women will have to drag the governor to the court of law to force him to contest the 2023 presidential election.
On behalf of Nigerian youths especially students across all tertiary institutions in Southwest, Princess Oyedoyin Adebanjo, the grand-daughter of late Otunba Timothy Olu Adebanjo who came along with student unions of various institutions across Southwest, noted that the campaign had already begun across many campuses in the country and indeed the Southwest.

On his part, Comrade Surajudeen Momoh of Ogun State chapter on behalf of other state cordinators also expressed the readiness of all states in the Southwest and Kogi State to massively project the Yahaya Bello 2023 mandate in their respective states and beyond.
In his remark, Engr. Akinsanya of Lagos who happened to be the host gave a sounding vote of thanks with a clear message that the next conference to be held in any other part of the Southwest must be result-based as he charged everyone to be strongly and passionately to the mandate of actualising Yahaya Bello presidency come 2023.
