The governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun on Monday night visited Oja Odan and Igbo Ooro in Yewa North Local Government Area of the state in his bid to assess the security situation in Ketu area.
The governor who addressed the people in those two communities said he felt their pain and pleaded for patience and caution.
He said he had set up a special task force made up of soldiers, Police, hunters, civil defence, etc to mount a permanent base in Ketu communities, and he had bought operational vehicles for their use.
Governor said all the vehicles would be handed over to them tomorrow.
The governor was received by the Olu of Ilaro and paramount ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle and Eselu of Iselu, Oba Ebenezer Adeyemi and Baale of Ooro, Chief Tajudeen Akorede.
Some farmers including women and children had been allegedly killed by herdsmen in some of the communities in the last few days.
