Joe Biden sworn in as 46th U.S. president, resumes work

President Joe Biden has immediately set to work after delivering his speech calling for unity and the need to shun divisive tendencies.

He noted that there was no time to waste, when it concerned the crises facing the country.

Tweeting from the @POTUS account for the first time after the inauguration ceremony, he wrote: “There is no time to waste when it comes to tackling the crises we face.”

He continued: “That’s why today, I am heading to the Oval Office to get right to work delivering bold action and immediate relief for American families.”

President Biden also said he would be president for all Americans, and stressed the need to end the “uncivil war.”
