The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission has urged its members of staff to develop good work ethics and be compliant with COVID-19 prevention guidelines ahead of the local government elections.
The Permanent Secretary, OGSIEC, Mrs Mojisola Dosunmu stated this in her address during a one-day training programme for members of staff of the commission held in Abeokuta.
She said the seminar was organised in order to further encourage the staffers to gear-up in their attitude to work,as well as, adhere strictly to preventive measures of COVID-19, especially in their offices as the virus was still very much around.
One of the resource persons, Mrs Idowu Kehinde, Director, Management Services and Zonal Administration, implored the staffers to cultivate the right attitude to work, while upholding the principles and ethics of the civil service.
She added that this would foster achievement of organisational goals set by the government.
She said officers should be willing and ready to learn as well as be a team player, stating that this would enhance their productivity at the work place.
Also, Dr. Olalekan Sodeinde from the Ogun state Ministry of Health, in his lecture said, ” COVID-19 was still very much around and “we should concern ourselves on how to avoid the spread of the deadly virus by taking personal preventive measures seriously.”
