Obasanjo advocates peace, stability, as Ghana goes to polls

Ahead of the December 7,2020 general elections in Ghana, former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has appealed to both the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress to ensure the peace and stability of the West African country.

In a letter to the leaders of the two major parties, copies of which were made available to journalists by his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Akinyemi on Saturday, Obasanjo advocated actions aimed at enhancing mutual trust and confidence in the relevant national institutions and the electoral process.

Obasanjo who equally prayed and wished that the country should be a winner irrespective of the party that wins the election.

He further noted that, with his humble voice, the region and the continent would count on the parties and ploticians patrotism during and after the elections.
