The eldest daughter of the late sage Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Rev(Mrs) Tola Oyediran is dead.
She was aged 79 years and would have been 80 on December 1.
The deceased who was the Chairman, Board of Directors of African Newspapers of Nigeria Plc., publishers of Tribune titles, fondly called Mama Ibadan, according to a family source, died in her sleep a few hours ago.
She was said to have been hale and hearty as of Thursday, 15th October, night.
The former Nigerian Tribune chairman, was married to Prof. Allen B. Oyediran, a former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan.
