The Area Commander, Area J, Ajah, Olugbemi Gbolahan has reportedly sustained an injury on his leg when a protester willfully drove his car over one of his legs in Ajah area of Lagos on Tuesday.
According to a statement by the Lagos State Police command’s public relations officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, the protester drove his car recklessly when he ran over officer’s leg, injuring him in the process.
The statement partly read, “The Area Commander was personally on the ground to monitor and provide security for the protesters while the protester wilfully drove his car, hit him and ran over him.
“He is receiving treatment at a hospital in Ajah area of Lagos State’.
Adejobi appealed to all protesters across the state to be calm and slow down from their protest, adding that “we will not be distracted from doing the right things at all times.”
