The Minister of State for Education, Chuckwuemeka Nwajiuba has said 104 unity schools will reopen to SSS3 students from tomorrow, Tuesday.
He made the announcement at the end of a virtual meeting with Commissioners of Education in 36 states and other stakeholders on Monday.
In a statement by the Director, Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education, Ben Goong, the minister commended the principals of the colleges for the comprehensive preparation put in place ahead of tomorrow’s resumption.
The junior minister and other officials in the ministry are billed to tour the colleges for assessment.
“From today, the Honourable Minister of State for Education, Permanent Secretary and Directors will embark on an assessment tour of all Unity Colleges to ascertain and confirm the reports they have received from the Principals of Unity Colleges,” the statement said.
