Gun-toting suspects nabbed in Ogun while snatching motorcycle

Operatives of the Ogun State command say they have arrested two suspected Gun-totting motorcycle snatchers around Ikangba Estate in Ijebu-Ode.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who disclosed this gave  the names of the suspects as Joshua Michael (27) and Emeka Nwanga (26).
He said they were arrested following a distress call received by the Divisional Police Officer, Ilese-Ijebu,  Olusesi Kayode, that armed robbers were about to snatch a motorcycle from its owner around Ikangba Estate, Ijebu-Ode.
When he received the call, Oyeyemi said the the DPO quickly mobilised his anti-robbery team to the scene.
He said but on sighting the policemen, the suspects took to their heels but they were hotly chased and apprehended with the help of members of the public.
He said, “The motorcycle rider and his bike were rescued from the bandits. Recovered from them is a locally made double- barrelled pistol.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police, Kenneth Ebrimson, has ordered the transfer of the suspects to the Special Anti-robbery Squad for investigation and prosecution.
